What's a test shoot?

A test shoot is a collaborative session between a photographer and a model, designed to gain experience and refine skills without the pressure of a commercial job.
It’s an opportunity to explore different looks, poses, and styles, building a strong portfolio that helps attract agencies, brands, and clients.

The photoshoot

The purpose of this session is to capture clean, authentic images that highlight your natural beauty, facial features, and presence in front of the camera, without unnecessary retouching or heavy styling.

We’ll shoot in a studio with flash lighting and throughout the session, i’ll guide you with posing tips.

You’ll bring 3-4 personal outfits, simple and minimalist looks work best, remember to not forget basic underwear and high heels.

A professional stylist will be present on set to help you make the most of your outfit choices.

No makeup is required.

The essentials every model should bring to a test shoot

  • A variety of simple clothing: neutral-colored T-shirts, crop tops, and tank tops; multiple jackets (denim or leather); and different styles of jeans/pants (light, dark, fitted, and loose). No graphics, logos, or words.
  • Proper undergarments in neutral colors—nude, black, and white are essential.
  • Heels (especially in nude and black), flats, or sneakers are great choices.
    • Hair essentials: brush, hair ties, and any necessary styling products.
      • Nails: Clean, well-groomed, and either natural or with a neutral polish.
